This was quite an interesting set, much weirder than I was expecting. I felt like there was a lot of spacey, heady pads that were coupled with weird bleeps, bloops, and other odd noises. Some of the tracks had a pretty groovy feel as techno should. Mixing wasn't too bad, and the flow was just as strange as the tracks. A little bit all over the place. But I think it worked in your favor, because the set ended up being a pretty nice mashery of tracks that made me feel like I was in an old abandoned arcade in some parts. Nice work.

Thank you sir, for your ears. I was certainly conjuring the ether throughout this set. Weird indeed.

After a few listen myself, I will agree the flow is definitely all over the place. Overall though, I hope things are at least a little cohesive and thematic throughout.

I've got a dnb mix and a typical nu-disctechouse nonsense mix boiling as well, so I'm glad I got this out there to get me a bit motivated.

dude I disagree. I liked the flow, it was eclectic, and well executed. At no point did I think that something didn't sound right

grabbed it from facebook and am just waiting to be in the mood for this style.:)

Thanks man! I have a really hard time distancing myself from things I've worked on, so hopefully my comments are a bit of me being overcritical. I'm glad the flow makes sense to someone other than me though. In my mind it all fits. :P

Count me in. Will listen to this in a bit.

It is indeed X-Trak 1, and I love that remix. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. When I've been mixing in my spare time lately it's usually on a tip like this; trying to work some disparate stuff together, expand my options a bit. For the past year or so I've kinda lacked a lot of direction as a DJ, so I'm working towards getting a bit more comfortable across a range of styles.

I don't know why my last few sets haven't been pre-planned or carefully mixed. The "live" atmosphere, selecting on the fly, is a lot more exciting to me and I stay a lot more engaged when mixing. Even if the end result is a little rough.

got me through my morning this, flow was odd at some stages, but great tunes.

Glad you enjoyed my #Big Lebowski tweetalong the other night :D
