My list of lazy developers who took my money, have stated that they are updating to 64-bit, but haven't done so yet.
SoundToys - one of the most expensive bundles I own and I purchased it a long time ago after hearing that 64-bit was "coming soon". Get on it, beotches!
5 whips for you: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
Eiosis - E2 De-esser is the best and most expensive de-esser I've ever used. Gimme 64-bit, now!
4 whips for you: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
Ohm Force - snobby French dudes need to update their stupid GUI plugins to 64-bit.
3 whips and a cheesy French clowny face for you: :whip: :whip: :whip: :clown:
SpectrumWorx - just found out that I can't sell it, so at least update it.
1 whip and an angry frowny face for you: :whip:
7Aliens - at least I got Catanya working with Jbridge finally, but you've promised me 64-bit, now deliver it.
1 whip for you: :whip:
Waves - Yeah, I know you've promised it in March (along with no iLok), but you're long overdue and until I actually see them....
1 whip for you: :whip:
Others that are deserving of a
Antares - I only have a couple of their plugins (no-brainer deals) and rarely use them, so whateva.
Artificial Audio - just bought Obelisk dirt cheap secondhand, but after the developer informed me that there are no plans to go 64-bit with it. So, my decision to buy it anyway, but such an awesome plugin that it should be updated to 64-bit and everybody should buy it.

That's inexcusable, particularly for FLS, who already has a "pro" image identity crisis.
5 whips for each of them: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: |

FLS won't be 64 bit until Delphi supports it, so they can't do anything less than coding the entire program in a different language. But, it still supports 64 bit plugins:
"32 & 64 Bit VST plugins can be opened in ‘Bridged’ mode. The maximum memory available to the plugin will be at least 2 Gb for 32 Bit Windows and up to 192 Gb depending on your version of 64 Bit Windows." |

Apart from that I don't think it's a problem with most of the plugins mentioned being 32-bit. As long as the DAW software packages have a 32bit plugin wrapper everything would work as expected anyway.
As far as I know the only plugins that truely benefit from 64bit internals are the ones that need to adress RAM memory above the 3.2GB mark. So basically just romplers need to be 64bit.
No excuse for sequencers though. |

| I wonder what takes them so long to port it, maybe they rely on some 3rd party libs. |

try the logic bridge. 32 bit is just awful. Not to mention plugins use ram. And it is rather easy with modern plugins to reach a ceiling with say 1 sample based VI and the rest FX. So it does make a huge difference and it is just unacceptable. |

for the big ones, pretty sure it has to do with protools and that sort of mess right now. For UAD, i think they are just ed in that the actual cards are 32 bit and they are starting to realize using 10 year old chips is starting to catch up. Not to mention it took UAd about 5 years to become stable when it was introduced. So ya, they don't want to disrupt their current momentum.
I sold both my cards because of it. them and their stupid dongle. |

| Until there is 64bit rewire support for Ableton, I'll be sticking with 32bit. At the present, I think only Reason has 64bit rewire support. |

PreSonus Studio One v2 supports 64-bit Rewire. It was the first DAW to do so,...well, besides Reason, of course. |

| you know what is pathetic is mac and the future of logic. Almost 2 years it seems and no update. And now a new OS in the summer so probably nothing for another year. What a ty company. I really don't understand why anyone would buy a mac for audio these days. |
