Wasn't sure where to post this but if any of TA's need a job in the accounting field, my company is hiring. We're located near the Embarcadero. PM me if you're interested.

The Online 401(k) is a fast-paced, rapidly growing company, having an immediate opening for an energetic and bright Billing Supervisor to join the Finance & Accounting team.
If you’re looking to contribute to a fast-growing company who strives to wow their clients, this is your chance to use your excellent analytical abilities and finance skills in a cutting-edge, dynamic, FUN, and creative company.
The Online 401(k) is game changing, providing small businesses and entrepreneurs the opportunity to achieve their retirement dreams with simple, off-the-shelf, and affordable 401(k) plans.
Our brag: We’ve been rated as one of the 100 fastest-growing companies in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times (four years in a row), ranked as one of the top 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the nation by Inc. Magazine, and have been listed as one of Business Week’s 100 fastest-growing inner-city companies in the nation.
Our ideal candidate (is this YOU?), will support the company by leading the billing team to ensure on time, accurate billing and accounts receivable collections are completed with a smile.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your attention-to-detail, accounts receivable and general ledger talents and expertise in a very fun, creative (but let’s not get too creative with the numbers), and challenging entrepreneurial environment.
What you will be doing:

Effectively manage bi-monthly billing accurately and on time. (We like being paid by our clients, it’s the little things)

Assisting with month-end closes including preparation of journal entries, variance analysis and reporting

WOWing clients via ticketing system, e-mail, telephone and chat (coming soon) by resolving issues and answering questions all with a smile. (It’s high volume!)

Reconciling applicable general ledger accounts

Supporting multiple departments including Senior Management by providing ad hoc reports

Leading, encouraging, inspiring and supporting the billing team by sharing your knowledge and setting priorities

Using a team approach to wow clients each day, while owning the results
YOU are our person if you:

Have a minimum of 3-5 years of billing/accounting experience

Are a superstar at providing excellent and prompt customer service to internal and external clients

Have a BA in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience (Financial industry experience absolutely not needed!)

Have knowledge of banking, merchant and credit card transactions

Have experience using Zuora, Quickbooks, and/or SalesForce (a plus!)

Enjoy numbers and thrive on accounting for the last penny

Like the details and enjoy keeping track of them, and we mean all of them

Are an excellent communicator, both written and verbally

Are nimble to stay effective and on target

Take what you do seriously, and have fun getting the job done each day

difficult finding people to interview or difficult finding people who will accept the job offer?
Vin247
Finding people to interview, they're either under qualified or they don't know how to put a resume together.

I'll give you a tip that every employer should understand. In this day and age of economy, 3-5 years experience is like asking if you have a unicorn to trade for. You need to be realistic and realize that there are a ton of hard working kids coming out of college that will do just as good, if not better, of a job because they are very motivated since they know there is someone out there to take their job if they aren't meeting standards.

Reconsider experience as a requirement, you can train someone fresh out of school how you want things done since they are still new and will be very submissive. Plus you won't have to pay them as much lol

Yes! I wish employers would take this advice. I'm a recent college grad with no full time experience and 95% of job postings say 2+ years or must have experience in blah blah blah. What ever happened to training people for a job?
MelBeat
It takes much longer to train someone without any experience to become productive. There is also much less commitment on their part, they may discover this is not exactly what they want to do or after they gain the experience they expect a significant compensation increase.
