Yeah but this track at zero pitch is 138bpm and made to be played at that speed. Armin has pitched it well down maybe to 135, it just takes away a bit of the power and drive of the track. It doesnt have to be stupid fast, just a little more thats all. |

Brute, major disappointment after Concrete Angel. Oh well no big uplfiting finish. Well Armin's definition of uplfiting might not match our own I guess.
This set has been "uplifting" in a lot of ways. Its just not hit the euphoric highs you expect when Armin says such things about "uplftiing not being dead, and we will show that tonight". For me Oakenfold has shown him up a bit tonight. |

Difficult to say. I think modern trance cant be pitched up very much at all or it sounds distorted but equally pitching it down is even more damaging as it takes the energy out of modern stuff. Classic trance could go up 6% and sound even more amazing on any given night.
Maybe 2% up is the maximum you should pitch up any modern trance even stuff thats made up to 140. Like Arctic Moon tracks are unreal and very fast paced but pitch them up and they sound terribly jumbled up. |
