i have friends who are not really into Digweed but go just for the vibe. Very old school vibe. |

living in LA(oc = la i guess according to some people)
you should know that weekdays: wednesday, monday, tuesday etc are the bigger nights from what ive heard and its a friday or saturday when you might stand a chance of getting into some of the more hard to get in venues(im not talking about ticketed events, im talking roxbury, colony, etc). so not sure the diehard statement applies.
in vegas wednesdays at surrender are pretty big "industry night" |

Friday and Saturday nights are the bigger nights (also known as money nights) where most of a venues revenue is generated.
Yes, there are successful nights on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays but they are not consistent and tend to be one offs or special events.

Have you been to a Digweed show on a Wednesday night? It's completely different crowd than you see at any of those venues that you mentioned. Day and night. They don't go out to see Digweed because of bottle service, overpriced ticket prices, and for sure they don't go because of the eye candy. Digweed on a Wednesday is everything those venues aren't. , the Mayan is in a ty neighborhood, it's dirty, smells like ass, it's tagged up, it's hot, it's old, it's runned up, but you know what? That makes it special. It has character. Something that those venues lack.
Most people that go out on Wednesday to see Digweed are old schoolers who grew up listening to his music. The crowd is much older and you def don't get jersey shore crowd. You get some, but not many. Like Billy said, the vibe there is awesome, very old school. It's like a big reunion where people like me who don't get to party much anymore get a chance to come out and hang out. |

Yes, that's what I'm referring to. People like us who truly love the music and don't listen to it because it's the hot on the radio right now. |

Yeah that's what I got from Woody's description. I think he was just saying that for most people that have to go to work during the weekdays, you have to have really want to go out and be willing to sacrifice a little (sick/vacation day, dying of no sleep at work, etc) because you really want to see the DJ as opposed to just going out on the weekends.
