Yeah, I posted a link to it a few posts above. So much for Reason's stability, eh? |

Looking at what's now included in Reason, there's really nowhere left for them to go. It's plugins or nothing really!
I reckon with it's own proprietary format it'll still be far more stable than most. |

I don't think so. This pretty much opens the door for a simple VST wrapper and the madness can start :). It does depend on how Propellerheads will implement this feature of course. If they'll hand pick developers (which I think they will) these third party racks will not include a wrapper without Propellerheads allowing it. |

Gotta say, this year's Musikmesse is much better than last year's Musikmeh. New Korg MicroKey controllers:

Roland Jupiter 50:

It's not a VST wrapper though. Urs was talking about not being able to port any of his synths over at KVR because of the way Props have implemented the rack. I suspect they'll want to keep things very tight still. |

On Britains got talent TV show, you get these people who just never migrated off a Yamha keyboard with built in speakers. I wonder what they think when they hear proper electronic music? Are they not sound bugs in the way we are? |

If that Jupiter 50 comes in anywhere near $1500 I will haZ it.
But I won't hold by breath. I want the 80 in the worst way (GAS mainly- not that I 'NEED' it) but at $3400ish it's too rich for my blood. |

No, Reason won't be hosting VSTs. They are allowing third-party developers to develop instruments and effects for their proprietary format. |
