CMS 65 Monitors Review ...Did someone Dial 9-1-Holly****? -CMS 65 short Review

I just got some Focal CMS 65's today...WOW
I've been working with Yamaha HS 50m's for 5 years, and Mackie HR 824mk2's for about half that time.
I sold the Mackies last year. They were nice.
The CMS 65's are superb!!!. The depth is ridiculously clear, almost 3 dimensional. The Low end is superb and just what I needed. My room is well treated and the lows fit like a glove with the rest of the range. The mids are clear and sharp, but not fatiguing, and the highs are gorgeous, but not hyped.
I just wanted to post this to see if anyone else has these. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!! save the $. totally worth it.
These seem to be getting REALLY popular in studios. I haven't seen a bad review yet.

And as for the other comments... I just want to re-assure you I'm not trying to market them. I'm a student at UWM.

I am a writter though, so perhaps my descriptive style is what made you suspect it.
Haven't heard anyone say bad things at GS either. I do post up at GS. And alot of members there love the CMS 65's. the "monitors" vs. "monitors" threads are always a hoot to read too. As if there is one clear choice...flame on. lol. (seriously though, save your efforts)

Well, between "re-assure", "saleman" and "alot", let alone your spectacular use of English grammar, I hope UMW have a double major program :gsmile:
Oh, and you've posted, what a dozen times on this forum in the short week since you registered, but felt compelled that your first post in the production forum would be to express your new found love for some monitors? |

I found his review to offer crisp insights and depth in the mid to high-ranges and fully registered every low-end nuance without muddying up issues that could have been conflicted with other monitors. It was clearly a flat review which gave the unvarnished truth throughout the spectrum with surprising detail not illuminated on by lesser review writers. It was a spectacular punch for quite the small package.
Were it not for my acoustically treated room, I would have been blown away with his textual zeal! |

I even Demo'd the Focal CMS 65 and i wasn't really feeling it so much i liked the smaller 50's better.
what do you guys think? it's a tough choice so i'll go with your opinions cause i love all 3 it's so hard to decide!
