Priceless...
Ferrari Sent Deadmau5 A Cease And Desist About His 'Purrari'
Apparently Ferrari was none to pleased with the custom badges and associated floor mats on Deadmau5's 458 Italia Purrari. So much so that Ferrari North America sent the self-admitted button-pusher a cease and desist to have the custom emblems removed.

And, unless I was reading things wrong, he complied!
Clearly, I know nothing about owning a Ferrari, but surely, once you own a car, you can do what you like to it? Or maybe he leased it?

Far as I know he owns it, but they went after him for 'trademark' infringements on the logos and stuff, it would seem Ferrari don't have a sense of humour about parody. However, he could have quite easily told them to sod off and they would have been powerless to do anything really, except for one thing:
Blacklist him from ever buying a Ferrari from a dealership ever again, which I think has happened to some people in the past. Or I guess they could go with the traditional Italian solution of beating him into bloody pulp, killing his pets and breaking his knees.
I just think its hilarious as A: He's a dud B: Ferrari is a bunch of douchebags and C: Both of them lose |
