I choose my titles by asking myself one simple question:

Would System-J hate the out of this track?

If the answer is yes I buy without hesitation.
SYSTEM-J
Actually, you ask yourself "Can I boast on Discogs about owning this record, even if I only like the percussive intro?"*

* He has actually done this, with Acid Trax.

Probably Detroit Techno (even though Vince hates the term for whatever reason)

I still get a laugh out of that Acid Trax incident.

Mark brags to a distinctly unimpressed Discogs crowd:

Mark subsequently admits he only likes the "cowbell and the kick drum" in said record:

Proper music lover, this guy.

In other news, this album is pretty good. It's a bit rich for me in places, but there are some parts where the opulence is just irresistible. My favourite track is A Fairytale.

But yes, I still prefer the sweaty retro-futurism of tracks like Atom and Otherworldly.

I'll write up a review shortly.

Nice, I like your reviewing style quite a bit. I think I've read most of what's on your blog. :p
SYSTEM-J
I wasn't aware I had any style.
