Scoring is a different beast from EDM production. To be honest, most EDM producers don't have what it takes other than it is required to write a generic EDM track. I find people who are able to write good scores tend to have a good vision of how music should sound like and is able to make good connections between what something looks like and should sound like.
EDM producing is just about grabbing a bunch of synths, laying down melodies and beats, mixing, and then mastering. |
