...are all ranked lower than circus? are you serious?
who the does dj mag think they're kidding?
what's next? berghain/panorama bar don't even make the list?!
it really shows how bull these polls are.
i'm happy stereo did not feed into this popularity contest as much as circus did this year. i found circus really spent time pushing their fans to vote, whereas stereo did not invest as much time doing that.
& now i see why. what a joke these dj mag polls are. most disgusting one i have seen yet. and it's NOT because circus ranked 19 (my sincere congrats for that, seriously), but because all of these other way better, way more world renowned clubs (most of which i have been to) ranked lower than them. there is zero logic here.

I agree with Erika. Don't get me wrong, congrats to circus! I'm really going to enjoy seeing digweed with Rickie G. BUT all these clubs are ranked below it?
I truly hope that they're going to release a poll for top 100 club and only ask people that are part of the field. Managers/djs/event organizers.
I don't even see Stereo on that list... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Even Sasha said it was top 3 clubs that he has ever played @, and he has played in many clubs.
But again props to Circus, Digweed absolutely loved it!

exactly! thank you for not interpreting my comments as "hate".
circus has stepped up their big time (in my PERSONAL opinion) in terms of diversity of bookings; they also had a lottt of stuff to promote to their public, too...by that i mean: new sound system, modified name to accompany the new sound system, the renovations in the club...there was a significant amount of PR surrounding the club this year, no doubt.
still, i cannot understand how this poll is supposed to be taken seriously, there is simply not enough justification on an international level that all those clubs i mentioned are ranked lower.
and by the way, to be absolutely fair, i would say the same thing if stereo was ranked higher than MOST of those clubs i mentioned. not all, but most. my fav club in north america is still stereo, absolutely. but worldwide, based on where i have been, space ibiza is definitely NOT a #1 club for me. berghain/panorama bar however, is absolutely my #1 worldwide. my wishlist is zouk in singapore, womb in tokyo, and warung in brazil. i can dreeeeeeam hehe :)

this is what DJ Mag Canada posted on their fan page: "remember it's all about fan votes.. so this really measures who is most passionate about their clubs.. meaning any clubs that didnt make the list, not enough people cared to vote for them.."
and what is this:
what is true is that your customers are older and don't give a damn as much to these contests. But don't say you didn't promote it.

guys lets stop this pointless arguing
stereo is a world class club, no doubt, u dont need DJ mag to tell u that...
it's like arguing about djmag top 100 djs... it dont mean ! popularity contest, that's it
Ravemontreal
It's the same thing with the DJ top 100 Erika... there's no top critics actually doing any rating here, it's just about pulling in the votes.
That's why it's absolutely useless to have a debate about all DJ Mag polls.
It means people like the club, DJs like the club, and they took the time to vote. It's says to foreigners that the club as a certain quality standard.
That being said, Francis and Circus are doing a great job pulling in the votes and using social media to do so. I think they have made a lot of efforts to be close to the clientele and communicate with them. The DJs of the club also did a lot to push the contest.
Most club, including Stereo, would use this result to their advantage and getting known around the world. That's why Stereo did promo as well. Maybe other clubs don't give a .
Now if Stereo would have totally boycott the poll and take a stand against it for some reason, now that would have been another thing. Either you try, or you don't. But doing it halfway doesn't mean anything.
On another note, i'm kind of glad Guvernment is not # 1 anymore because that club is really really below Circus and Stereo.

it's more a state of 'I don't mind'. A determined continuation, contentment and relief .

Ha as soon as I saw this thread I wondered how long it would become about Stereo. It's really silly if you ask me. Stereo definitely tried campaigning for this. I saw it in my FB feed, more so than last year. They just didn't commit to itvfully. I totally agree with Martin, you either put zero effort into it intentionally, or go for all you can get. Circus clearly has the ability and desire to pull this off better, and the results show it. It's not about which is better, it's about voting, and the voters have spoken.
