I was kinda hoping to get one of the DNB selections but I'll take Hard Trance. I drew Hardstyle in the last round, so kind of a bummer but I'm glad I didn't get disco/freestyle.
Rob, I'll hold your hand during your psybreaks selection... hahahaha of all people!!! :stongue:

Surprise, surprise, a genre that's not much of a challenge, again. Still, I haven't mixed anything 2-steppy for quite a while now, so it'll be good to get back into it. Could be a challenge to bridge the gap between the old and new, also.

You can always do a Para Para / Eurobeat Mix if you want a challenge. :)

An awesome genre of music, but one that will be under intense scrutiny I'm sure. Time to start looking for tracks...

Argh, Italo? This is going to be an absolute nightmare. A genre where I don't own any of the tracks, where all of the tracks are 20+ years old and none of which were ever made to be mixed.

yay! Sure the one I got is not the most challenging but I haven't done it before so it will be fun.

I'm sure you can get away with some synthpoppy tracks influenced by italo disco, of which there is an abundance. Plus, a lot of italo disco is getting reissued digitally these days, like this one: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/eyes/1874309-02/

Luke you know what thread to look at for inspiration. Also check out this link to a Discogs page that I think will help :)

So stuff like the Scarface soundtrack is fair game?
Also, my biggest problem with this is that I absolutely ing hate the '80s. Worst decade ever, musically.
