actually, seeing how this most resembles a question I'll go ahead comment on it. I feel like I grasp the concept of phrasing quite well. In fact, I think its one of my best attributes as a dj. There are fundamental things that any dj must do in order to be considered a dj. One of those is matching a beat and another is phrasing. Both of which come as second nature to me seeing how I've been doing this for 10+ years. |

| You've been doing this for 10+ years and your mixes are still this trite and derivative? |

See Ryan but I am of the opinion, and so is pretty much everybody else on this forum, that you don't. At this point it does not become subjective. It's a fact. Are you able to comprehend this? |

Yes, most of the tracks contained within my mixes are usually listed in a Top40 chart and thus could be considered trite. However, due to the fact that they ARE Top40 tracks means that I feel like they're relevant to the audiance that's listening and subsequently worthy to be in my mix. |

| Why do you try so hard to make yourself seem legitimate? |

yet another "Legitamate" question. I applaude your participation. Allow me to answer to the best of my ability. At this point I don't feel like I'm activley seeking any sort of legitimacy. In fact, I'd prefer to be left alone. Although I am concentrating on taking my mixes to the next level, mostly by concentrating on theme based sets, as well as percise placement of tracks, my goal is to create the best listening experience to whomever decides to hit the play button on my mix.
A few years ago however, I was misguided in believing that I could just hit record and start playing any given set without any prior preparation and/or idea on the direction I was going to take while I played. Even though my impromptu's were decent, they lacked the quality I am currently seeking. |

Maybe you'd do better as a wedding DJ. Would you enjoy this? |

If you could rephrase that into a type of question so that I could answer you I'd be more than happy to. |
