This is offensive, is anyone else bothered by how half-arsed these mothers all look ? Yeah , listen, you don't need a leash. You don't need to take your children to the mall, choose a park or an outdoor setting with less artificial stimulus. The beach or lake works. Also, diet! no soda, no over-processed foods, no caffeine. I am all for iPads and computers from day 1, though. And music too.

What about mothers that have more then one kid that have to run errands? Not take a ing leisurely stroll by the beach.. Also you clearly have no idea what kids are like. They have temper tantrums. Often when my son does this I ignore him. I don't want his poor behaviour to be rewarded with attention. So if you're out in public and see a kid on the ground looking neglected or mistreated, remember, you don't know the situation... Also there are a lot of kids with disabilities that make it challenging to even run to the store and get milk. I'm don't even know why I'm responding to this.. Maybe you shouldnt have kids, the experience may be really disappointing for you.

It's funny because I do remember quite clearly NOT listening to my parents and wanting do whatever I wanted. I would mind for a few minutes and wait til they weren't looking and try to run off.

I have pics of myself tied up by the bathing suit, with a yellow rope, to a park bench on a day at the beach, lol. I remember that day too...I kept running off into the water. I was 3. I could have drowned if it weren't for that rope.

I was a terror as a kid but i got beat downs when i acted up. Old school over the knee ass up with a belt from my dad or wooden spoon by my mom. Pretty normal practice around these parts for italian males. Ill be doing the same to mine because if i acted up in public and saw my mom or dads death stare i knew what was up later for me

Dad never had the heart to beat me, but Mom used both of those and a ing Olive tree branch when I was, according to her, incorrigible. I was petrified of that thing :nervous: , it ing HURTS.. An Olive tree branch is ironically a symbol of peace, a thing I knew at the time so I always did myself an even bigger disservice by telling Mom she's doing it wrong. :o

I never deserved it. :(

PS: This was when we used to live in Morocco, it was/is a commonplace thing to beat your kids. ing savages I hate them.

In South Korea I actually had parents that asked me to hit their kids if they got out of line. Different cultures don't view things the same way and think that beating their children is a right. They end up pretty damn good over there though.

exactly its called the carrot and the stick. you got to do a mixture of both i think or else youre kid turns out to be a deadbeat like nou

Why get a leash when you've got perfectly good ass whoppings at your disposal :conf:

because now kids can sue you if you hit them.

I was on a leash (long, elastic/bungee type) for a far bit of my really younger years and it was a good thing all considered - I was clinically hyperactive. Blink, and I'd be gone. It got the point if I wasn't on tied to something and you took your eye off me for a second, it was a trip to the lost and found to collect me.

In some ways it was quite good, I could explore my surroundings without have to stand next to my parents all the time and it took some of the strain off them as I was just too ing hectic if I wasn't able to burn off that energy.

Chains, dog leash, not so good - elastic bungee = win.
