Don't know how to quote other articles so I will just copy and paste it. Does anyone know what event at D36 last night?
"Cops are investigating the mysterious death of a man found bleeding from the mouth as he staggered out of a Midtown club early today.
The man at first seemed drunk to waitresses taking a 3 a.m. cigarette break outside District 36, a nightclub on West 36th Street near Fifth Avenue, said sources.
Then the women noticed the clubgoer was bleeding profusely from his mouth, the sources said.
The waitresses contacted security guards, who saw that his teeth had been knocked out. EMS rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital.
He was declared dead at Bellevue about 4:30 a.m., said cops. His name has not been released.
Detectives were inside District 36 this morning trying to determine if the man was assaulted there.
No arrests have been made." |

From the few articles I read, they are still trying to piece together what happened. But they think he either fell over the railing on the mezzanine, or got beat up maybe.
ty news either way. :( |

I'm guessing he fell, doubt they would let the club open if there was a fight and that place has way too much staff to not notice a fight. That's crazy, gotta be careful when you drink. |

I was thinking the same thing, that he fell down somehow. |

| NY Daily News is reporting that he was found slouched over inside the club, bleeding profusely, and that staff members brought him outside and left him there. What the hell. That is so horrible and if its true, D36 is about to get sued to hell. |

They obviously didn't see the bleeding part and thought he was drunk. It's dark in there and they probably have to escort passed out drunks all the time. It's understandable. A staff member saw him outside and got him help when they realized he wasn't just drunk. |

There are conflicting reports. The daily news is reporting that he was abandoned outside and police found him and called it in. I said if that's true, its horrible. |

Apparently he had no teeth when he was found:
"Cops are investigating the mysterious death of a man found bleeding from the mouth as he staggered out of a Midtown club early today.
Michael Lin, 27, of Queens, at first seemed drunk to waitresses taking a 3 a.m. cigarette break outside District 36, a nightclub on West 36th Street near Fifth Avenue, said sources.
Then the women noticed Lin was bleeding profusely from his mouth, the sources said.
The waitresses contacted security guards, who saw that Lin's teeth had been knocked out. EMS rushed him to Bellevue Hospital.
Lin was declared dead at Bellevue about 4:30 a.m., said cops.
Detectives were inside District 36 this morning trying to determine if Lin was assaulted there.
No arrests have been made."
