Kyle Geiger [Drumcode - Perc Trax - Roots]

Hailing from a region known for its basketball and corn, the emergence of an artist from Indiana such as Kyle Geiger is marked as seldom at best. Kyle Geiger's quick rise in the international dance scene is due to both his production prowess, and his explosive decks and effects DJ sets that bridge the divide between techno and minimal. Kyle is not a producer first, DJ second, but chooses to look at both aspects of DJ and production as a whole; one is not complete without the other. Originally inspired by the harder, percussive stylings of late 90's Swedish techno featured on seminal labels like Drumcode and Code Red, Kyle has witnessed the evolution of the genre as it morphed into a more accessible, groove based sound. Still loving the energy and power of the earlier phases of techno while embracing the genre's changes, Kyle has refined his productions and DJ sets into what very well may be a new breed of soundscapes that pushes things forward for the next generation of techno to come.

Since being named in DJ Mag as the "breakthrough DJ of 2008" by Adam Beyer, the years following have proven to be nothing short of that title for Kyle Geiger. Within the first year of his premier vinyl release, Kyle achieved international notoriety, a feat that many never accomplish in their entire career as a DJ/producer. Having played literally all over America, the Indiana-based producer is set to storm the international scene. With multiple European and South American tours under his belt already, including two performances at the widely touted Berghain in Berlin (Voted by ResidentAdvisor.net as the 1 club in the world), rounded off with a stop at the Dance Valley festival in Amsterdam this summer, Kyle is certainly prepared for the big things the future is already promising to bring. With highly regarded releases on Drumcode, MB Elektronics, and Perc Trax, as well as remixes for Trapez, Droid, Renovatio, plus having his tracks played by all the heavy hitters, the future is proving to be a very promising place for Kyle Geiger as he continues to take his widely recognized DJ set around the world and to the next level.

He also has quite a podcast giving you an even better taste of the solid beats to come this Friday:

Dani Lehman [Legion of Boom]

At age 17, when most girls her age were preparing for dinner dates and parental escorts, Dani Lehman was busy trading her only prom dress for a pair of headphones and an electronic dream. Captivated by what she saw as a world driven by a beat with dark emotion, Dani Lehman built her name from the bottom of the underground warehouses of Philadelphia as a teen, to the top of the main room Pacha NYC, Cielo, District 36 and Sullivan Room to Ultra Music Festival in Miami and headlining her first international tour as a young adult. Dani has also been sighted playing along side djs such as Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Josh Wink, Adultnapper, Sharam, Avicii and many more. With no intention of stopping, Dani quickly moved her way up in the community and now plans to expand her talents in the studio and throughout the dj world as a whole. As her career continues to grow, Dani remains true to the local spots she loves the most, loyal to but standing out among her peers as a DJ with a strong history and an even stronger future.

Gil K [Nosi Music]

Seasoned DJ, label owner, and event promoter, Gil K has been a key player in New York’s underground dance community for nearly a decade, whose international appearances include regular trips to the heart of Central America. Since his first pre-dawn DJ set at the Sunjam festival in Honduras back in 2004, year after year his musical sensibility earns him a place on the festival line-up, as well as shows in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. In 2005, Gil K closed out his year-long tour in Latin America and Europe with shows in Copenhagen and Barcelona.

Upon returning to New York City and having experienced the wide spectrum of dance music culture that stretches from the Atlantic to the Caribbean and from the Americas to Europe and back, Gil K founded the critically acclaimed record label NOSI Music. Since the launch of the label in 2006, NOSI has become a home for young artists the world over – from NYC to Tegucigalpa, and beyond, growing into a community of DJs, artists, dancers, and music lovers who embody the NOSI spirit. It was during his time touring in Latin America that Gil K was first envisioned the NOSI concept that has since become a lifestyle brand.

Since 2008, the label’s local and international artists play regularly in NYC, showcased in NOSI Music’s signature NO REQUESTS parties. By championing a future-forward blend of beats that land somewhere between house and techno, NOSI Music – the label and the parties – continue to grow in talent and popularity at home and abroad. Stay tuned for what’s coming next.

WOW! Kyle Geiger... I'm a bit surprised he's booked here at all, especially at Sullivan Room. I'm not familiar with Guy J, but Geiger is definitely an impressive substitute headliner. :eyes:
