steve is a smart guy, he knows exactly what he's doing.

just b/c a person goes to or graduates from a college does not mean that they know what they are doing or that they are a smart person.

this thread has nothing to do with if a dj 'knows exactly what he's doing'. steve does know what he's doing: making money. that's the use he has put his education to. in this thread, the conversation has been about authenticity which it seems many of us feel steve lacks. i don't know why you thought otherwise

^ Haha yeah its all about UCSD. Paul Van Dyk was pretty entertaining, even though I'm not so into that kind of music.

I've seen Markus have fun with the crowd during entire 4 hour sets, so it's not always just peak time for him. Maybe certain nights, just depends on his mood...

DJ interaction can make a show better if it's done right and it's pure interaction. It's almost like the DJ is feeding off the crowd like a crowd feeds off the DJ. That's a great feeling!

How Aoki and some others act...that's not pure. It's just trying to live up to your character.

Anyhow, I remember when Ice Las Vegas first opened and the deck was up in the corner way off the main floor.

They ended up moving it front and center of the whole place.

Sad that the dude sold the place for a hotel to be built...or something like that -- I forget.

Steve Aoki is my favorite DJ, have you seen him throw a cake on a bitch??

Well, what do you know. Blue Man Group will be performing alongside Steve Aoki during EDC.

Blue Man Group should've had their own show.
