I just checked out their beatport page. Honestly, some of the worst music I've heard in a while. |
I disagree, i've heard worse, actually today, in this thread. |

| Just because the only music you like is 140 bpm trance with the most simple melodies my little brother even could make doesn't mean that its bad music... Where is your music? What label do you release your tracks on??? |

I don't release on labels, in part, precisely because of quack operations like Direct Drive Digital. I also think I have a ways to go before I should start shopping my to labels - but even if I thought I was "there", I'm still incredibly reluctant not to just give it away for free, knowing what I know about the economics of the music industry.
This isn't about genre or BPM. I'm making qualitative judgements that could apply to pretty much any style. The "music" they're selling is loopy garbage. |

Yes. Ten minutes long with the same sound. What I don't do is repeat the same bull hook until the end of the song. My has progression, son. I do something with the instruments I use rather than create a simplistic, childish loop that gets old after half the length of the songs you make. I don't have to put some obligatory break in the middle of every song, and when I loop, they're a hell of a lot more complex than any piece of put out by DDD.
I'm staying away from heavily critiquing your music. You've only been doing it five months and, truthfully, it shows. That said, I've got to be honest and say that I wish some of my stuff sounded like what you're doing, five months into producing music. I don't necessarily want to discourage you. Would I pay for what you're putting out? I've got a collection of far better music I've obtained, free of charge - stuff that's just given away. No I wouldn't.
And I definitely don't think it should be sold. |

I thought you liked to make songs that are one long loop that never change? |
