Do people still care about Ricardo Villalobos productions?

I'm not trying to bash the guy personally. I'd still like to see him DJ one day but he's pretty much set on not coming to the states ever.
I'm just curious how long someone can go on producing tunes like the one below before their audience finally realizes their emperor has no clothes. I can't even tell his releases apart any more. His remix template is beyond worn out at this point.

I dunno man, even the staff people at RA that have seen Villalobos like 23 billion times have said that he is more often miss than hit these days. |

I watch his dj videos from time to time and I hear a lot of loopy festival type techno and not much else. This is in contrast to what I read where people say he gets really creative. |

| I haven't really followed him since the whole mnml boom and subsequent bust. He's got some decent songs like Dexter and Waiwairino (sp?) I guess. |

It was never to protest against Bush's presidency. It's because of the Pinochet regime in Chile, which was backed by the U.S., and which Ricardo and his family had fled. I think he said that last time he came to the U.S. (not at Movement last year but before that) he was harassed by U.S. officials. |

| Villalobos' music is the absolute epitome of hipsterism. Jaar's pretentiousness is nothing compared to the grandmaster's. And of course, RA reviews like to furiously masturbate over his productions while blindfolded. |

| That's not really the case anymore. Villalobos is water under the bridge to a lot of heads. I'd still play any of his Frisbee tracks and have a lot of respect for his DJ'ing. |
