I am American by birth and probably a 8th generation born in this country. Problem is, I'm not truly American. I don't believe in this country and what it stands for and especially what it's become. I have never voted in my life because it's proven that does NOT matter. Our society is the most backwards on earth and is a violent society. If I was given the chance I would gladly revoke my citizenship of this hell hole and never return. Damn the Divided states of America. |
Think about America as a whole, it's a world full of possibilities, unlike Europe. Believe me we are here for a reason, buy a cheap truck, gather your friends and drive from Alaska to Argentina. You will see this land differently and how beautiful the supercontinent really is. |

Not sure I'd go that far. I've entertained the thought of becoming an ex-patriot, but am much more interested in attaining dual citizenship. In case you've forgotten, our country pretty much runs . :nervous: |

| I feel fortunate to have dual-citizenship, and I plan on taking full advantage of that (i.e. moving overseas sometime in the next 2 years when i get my together) |

It's not utter bullt. If you don't feel anyone does anything for you, get out there nad campaign yourself. That's how democracies are started - from the people.
I'm sick and tired of these ing retards at every election saying "oh the government never listen wah wah wah" and then they say they never bothered to vote. Parasites like that don't deserve to have the vote. |

So we should have to vote just because we live in a supposed "democracy" and because we're given the right?
that.
We live in a "democracy" which is split by two parties, who have puppets as their head honchos. Why the should I vote for that?
Just because I can, doesn't mean I should, if neither of the candidates represents what I think our forefathers intended for this country to stand for. |

There's some dumb ing statements in this thread.
Revoke your American citizenship?
You must be the biggest moron, ever.
Why would you revoke any citizenship to any country, ever?
Especially one with as many relative opportunities as the USA.
Moron. |

No. Because people DIED and fought to keep the vote. If you don't like voting, you can always go and live in North Korea. They don't bother to vote, either. If you think they're puppets, then it's your duty to try and stop that, either by forming your own representation, or supporting other independent candidates. At the very least, go and spoil your ballot paper. But just to sit at home nd say "I can't be bothered" absolutely riles me, and in my opinion, people who do this have absolutely ZERO right to complain. |

Because he's ashamed to be a US American, I suppose.
I disagree that it's moronic.

I take it you didn't enjoy (if you saw it) the classic South Park episode "Douche & Turd"?
As long as the lobbyists are allowed to basically run their pimp/mob business ("Hey, we're going to give you all this money if you do this & this, so we get even more money!"), there's never going to be any point in voting anything but blank.
Voting blank might be the most sensible thing to do for people who dislike their government.
/I don't really give a tho. USA is a beautiful country, it has great culture and businesses, but ultimately, the system is just too ed.
edit: ah, might have misinterpreted the " and then they say they never bothered to vote." part. If they didn't even hand in their empty ballots, then they might just as well go themselves. |

I was about to reply to your position, but this clearly shows you have absolutely no clue and any further reply would be like falling for TheTrinity's trolling. Unfortunately your stupidity might be genuine if you say something like that. |
