Seriously...You could be living here in Dusseldorf. I was going to see Dubfire, Chris Liebing and Monika Kruse at an outdoor party tomorrow - it's been cancelled because it might rain and they dont even have an alternate venue for this :( Totally cancelled. Don't waste negative energy on things you don't like...focus on the good! PLUR :)
You have a point. ;)

Yeah, my main gripe with this gig is that Digweed won't be playing for very long at all. And as someone who has seen him many times, he just seems to put together a better performance when he has more then a few hours to play. I know S&B have a good rep for being able to bring in great djs, which I've even expressed to one of them about before and thanked them for that. As for their ability to dj; well, I simply have a different opinion then others about it. Nothing to get all bent out of shape about.
It's just funny that when anyone here goes out and spends the money that they do on a night and ends up having a bad experience with the music for example, they come back here and express that with everyone and most of the time it is ok. I do it and all of a sudden we are all up in arms about it. Just saying. :)
I think it's more about having some tact that people are reacting to.
This is a thread for an event we're playing at, and that we started (basicnyc). So to come in, and immediately refer to our set as a "waste", and talk about us in the third person, it's a little...umm, questionable.
If you don't like what we do, why even click in and say anything. We're excited about playing at this party, and it's a little off-putting to trash our involvement, and I think people can see this. But whatever, you're not going to pee on my parade. Find the Buddha in you

This is gonna be a great party which I will be waiting for.

Doombot has the right to say he doesn't like something (even as the risk of looking like a "hater" is he so chooses) just as much as you all have the right to say that you disagree with him. Everyone is entitled to their own musical preference and it really makes no sense in arguing about it.

It doesn't even matter. I'm friends with a lot of djs/promoters, and I'm always the first one to call like it is, friendship or not.
I'm done arguing with Dumbot. You just sound like a hater.
When I go out to clubs and Sleepy & Boo comes up in conversation, people just roll their eyes. Kind of like I did when I read your replies in this chain.
Doombot is the most non-haterish person I've ever met, so if he says a dj sucks, take his word for it, they suck.
You might say, who the are you to be making claims such as this Mark Anthony. Well I'm a jaded man in my early 30's who loves club culture when its done right. I've listened to more dj's in the last 3 or 4 years than I can count. If you want to be constructive, buy this book on amazon for 5 dollars and memorize it front to back. Read it in the car, on the toilet, and while on lunch break at work. Do the crowd a favor the next time any of you have the privilege of opening a party for a big name

Such a constructive response, read a "how to dj right" book.
Congrats Mark Anthony, i love your new track with Pitbull.
Everyone is entitled to give their opinion. This is what the forum is about and everyone knows that. But it's not cool when the person that are playing the event is being insulted on the thread that THEY created. I'd say keep your opinion to yourself just not on the thread.
