Ok going to go with the Saffire 6.

Now need a usb keyboard any recommendations

Depends on how many keys you want, aftertouch, hammer action, do you actually play or just stab at basslines and chords etc?

If it's the latter just go for a recent model Oxygen 49 as they're pretty robust and have some useful knobs and sliders etc.

If you're doing more melodic stuff or improvisation a 61 would be better

I'd argue that if you're doing that the Oxygen isn't right at any size as the key action is pretty ty.
Waza
i'm not to worried about hammer's etc as i have a grand piano if i wanted all that.

so it's just a keyboard that i can play and feels not too bad
tehlord
How many keys?
Waza
well enough to get the bass and a melody going at the same time. Don't need 61 keys.
Waza
so is the oxygen 49 3rd generation ok it looks if it will do the job
Waza
what about the EMu

E-MU SHORTboard Professional 49-Note USB/MIDI Instrument

Subtle
Steinberg UR28m works well.

The key action is rubbish though. You can play it fine, but it's really spongy. No aftertouch either. Other than that it's fine.
