"Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you'll hear them speaking to you."
So who are our midi-chlorians? :p |

To be pedantic, Dark Matter and Antimatter are totally different things.
We know what Antimatter is and we know its properties, essentially it has the same properties as normal matter, with the exception of the individual particle charge or spin..... in which they're opposite to normal, everyday matter. The Electron and the Positron, for example.
We have observed antimatter and can confirm its existence. Dark Matter on the other hand, accounts for approximately 80% or so of the universe, yet we have absolutely no idea what it is.
We can't see it because it doesn't react with EMR, but we can observe it's significant gravitational effects.
Without it, the universe wouldn't exist as it currently does. The Dark Matter term is an appropriate one, it's not named as such because we can't see it, it's named as such because physicists really have no idea what it is. |
