And to think, he was only two or three iterations away from Dirk Diggler.

To be pedantic, Dark Matter and Antimatter are totally different things.

We know what Antimatter is and we know its properties, essentially it has the same properties as normal matter, with the exception of the individual particle charge or spin..... in which they're opposite to normal, everyday matter. The Electron and the Positron, for example.

We have observed antimatter and can confirm its existence. Dark Matter on the other hand, accounts for approximately 80% or so of the universe, yet we have absolutely no idea what it is.

We can't see it because it doesn't react with EMR, but we can observe it's significant gravitational effects.

Without it, the universe wouldn't exist as it currently does. The Dark Matter term is an appropriate one, it's not named as such because we can't see it, it's named as such because physicists really have no idea what it is.

Very true, not pedantic at all. I am looking forward to hearing SUSY's fate. Because of the beautiful mathematics involved, I could easily say, I do not care if SUSY is a law of nature like General Relativity and The Uncertainty Principle. All i can say is, if you believe in Magic...

Isn't it also quite possible/almost certain there's anti dark matter?

If anything they'll be going for the 2020 end of the world prophecy.

Which religion believes in the 2020 end of the world prophecy? I just want something to point and laugh at :)

who used the Solenoid first, Dirac or Heisenberg?

So..
They almost themselves before their attempt to clash photons together, fearing the attempt may cause another 'Big Bang'.
Why the heck would they want to increase the power 10 fold to see if they can create and examine Dark Matter?

Curiosity killed the mother-ing cat!

but hey i'm a sucka for astro-physics and the sort so i say go for it!
It didn't us up last time.

With few probable exceptions, I'm pretty sure the fear of causing another big bang is inversely proportional to how much physics one knows :p
