LSD. a rather benign drug |
:wtf:
I don't know if you've ever tried it. I have, quite a few times, without going off the deep end... I've tripped with people though, taking the same acid as me (at the same time, and the same rough dosage), that flipped right out and took a couple of days to chill and come down. It's rather unpredictable, to say the least. |

I know someone who took mushrooms and gouged out his own throat with a knife as soon as they took effect. Luckily he was at home in his room, and one of his parents had the intuition to go check on him. Either that or they heard him choking on his own blood. In any case, they intervened in time to save his life. He used to tell everyone at work the scar on his neck was from a car accident. :nervous: |

| On the other hand, I've known someone to accidentally ingest a large quantity of LSD, so that he was stuck tripping balls for a week, and he managed to keep his composure while living in a two bedroom apartment with 7 family members. I'd get random texts from him like, "The sunset... is so... beautiful" throughout the week :stongue: . I think what it boils down to is that deep down, some people are nuckin' futs, and some people just aren't. |

I agree. I meant in the way it compares to drugs that lead to the type of dependency that destroys with incredible predictability.
I cannot handle hallucinogens either. Tried twice and it was probably the worst experience I have ever had. Even MDMA which I would say is rather mild on the hallucinogenic side is too much to handle unless I've been numbed with some form of anxiolytic.
I think that just the overall stats regarding deaths due to direct consumption (if that even exists) or indirect deaths due to what someone does on them don't really paint a picture of something that is extremely dangerous. |

Freaking out on drugs is all about your current state of mind.
example: For years I used to smoke weed every day, but now if I smoke a joint, drive me to the mental institution immediately.
The brain is the most complex thing in our body. The drugs are not really the problem, it's our brains.
I would love to smoke weed and take LSD, but my brain wont let me anymore :( |

Bullets are not the problem. Just the skn's inability to stop them. Since you can't really change your brain, I would say the drugs are the problem. |

Drugs just provoke an already existent problem. In my case I can get anxiety without taking any drugs, which is why I don't like to blame drugs for my problems. The sad truth is that the doctors would much rather prescribe drugs instead of going to the root of the problem, so it's almost impossible to get real help. |
