Weren't the bracelets $200 before?

anyways, I'm thinking of going this year since I have the first two weeks of the year off, is the bracelet worth it?

edit:
and found 14 days, 4* hotel, close to $1900!

1900 is plane ticket included?
portugzMTL
Yeah. All included!! Rediculous price. On top of it the flight leaves the 3rd, BPM starts the 4th.

I have no idea how the alcohol works, although I'm pretty sure it's not included outside the hotel with the bracelet. Im curious if alcohol, and other... Things... Is expensive there...

Could you pm me the hotel + flight link if you don't mind
portugzMTL
I'll pm you tomorrow when I recheck everything!

but I found another alternative,
flights for 500$ + apartment for 1100 for 2 weeks ON 5th ave, which is the main street, including transport from the airport to there (45 minutes aways, 65$ by cab).

I'm exploring all possible alternatives, as I don't know if the all inclusive at a "reasonable price" will even be worth it. Playa doesn't seem that expensive, and I prefer the "real" vacation feel, to the all inclusive feel...

you can also catch bus for ten bucks from airport, drops you off near the action.

i would go with apt/condo option instead, there are massive grocery stores there so you can stock up and always have food around. You could do a search and read some reviews from last year for ideas, I wrote one in there too.

Would love to go again but I'm branching off and trying something a bit different but BPM is pretty sweet

im tempted to check out BPM this year. Id spend a week in Cozumel for Diving and then cross over for the festival...hmmmm

Any divers out there? ( i can get diver/room deals on the Cozumel side of things)

Don't stay in a condo. You can get an all inclusive package and they cook, clean, and serve you booze 24/7. Why would anyone want to grocery shop on a vacation. You can get great deals and have all your food and drinks included. I've stayed at 6 resorts there adn the food is fine. Did the condo thing and it's not worth it. It gets very sandy and dirty you need someone cleaning your room daily.

that's my gf's mindset aswell. she doesn't want to have to make her bed/clean up sand/etc...

I'm trying to convince her otherwise, but she says I get the final decision anyway, but I want her happy too.

Thing is, most resorts are in "Playacar" which I hadn't realized till a few days ago, isn't exactly Playa del Carmen, it's a secluded resort/golf area that's fenced in. Downtown is around a 20 minute walk from there.

I have found resorts in Playa del Carmen but they're either:
A. Insanely Expensive (I'm Semi on a budget - wanna get a condo lol)
B. Not the best reviews.
C. Not directly on the beach (I'm a beach bum)

Honestly the cab ride is 3 mins and costs 4-5 canadian dollars. There are plenty of hotels on the beach I have stayed at all of them. Trust me go all inclusive. Totally effortless. I hated having to clean up and make breakfast, shop, go get ice, etc..
