Like most of these list, it's probably way off. I can see that list being based on US gigs maybe. |

| A number of those DJs are not big outside the US. Which is why I would say that it's probably based off of what they earn int he US. How would Forbes find out how much they make wordwide. |

i would think without stating that is US-only earnings you would have to assume its worldwide.

Sources include Pollstar, RIAA, promoters, managers, lawyers and some of the artists themselves. |

| this list is really bogus!!! let me tell you why. They are missing the one dj who should be in the top 5 if not 1 and thats ARMIN VAN BUUREN. Forbes doesnt even have ARMIN VAN BUUREN listed in the top 10 are you kidding me smh. If you think pauly d makes more money than ARMIN VAN BUUREN then i dont know what to tell you lol. And in the end dave t is right. how is anyone going to know how much these djs make worldwide. |

i agree he is in the top 10...but no one, NO ONE is touching Tiesto's earnings........Skrillex #2? really? |

Armin owns just about every EDM label out there, so he gets a cut of most of the pie... How is he not on here?
Not to mention that he was #1 for longer than any other DJ in history. |

i believe its projected 2012 earnings.
Doesn't surprise me Armin's not on the list as it seems to me as he doesn't seem to play as many gigs as the others...
some of the figures i'd seen published in Pollstar (gross ticket sales) which I think is pretty reliable. |

Skrillex has to be making a ton of dough. His albums sell well on itunes/amazon, his music is all over commercials and movie trailers, and he is playing every major festival in the world. |
