pretty sure they aren't reliving the trauma but trying to cope with a low self esteem which usually manifests itself via say promiscuity , drugs ..... I know there is this cycle of victimization which tends to happen but i think that has more to do with their self esteem than wanting to relieve the trauma. I volunteered at a shelter for women and the stuff you hear about is but wrenching. And then the statistics you hear when you start about the percentage of women that at some point in their life will go thru some degree of abuse ....
To the OP
As far as why you keep getting these girls, I would say that is more something on your end. Perhaps you have some confidence issues as well and seem to find approaching others with a similar trait easier ? If i has happened more than once or twice i think you can rule out coincidence and need to look at your own actions and start to analyze why you seem to chose these girls. We also tend to prefer people that are like us.
Perhaps spend more time getting to know someone before getting intimate ? I would also start meeting people that don't do drugs or are in that sort of 24/7 party mode. Your odds of finding people that are the way you describe somewhat higher. Impossible to tell you how to live. Just try to remember that they have been thru and what ever you do , don't add to that. |

I'm kind of surprised they would let guys volunteer there. Did they make you do a background check? |
