I HATE electro house. Its just so annoying, epically dirty Dutch influenced electro house, and the female vocals just dont work in electro house
Whenever i listen to a 'Dance' show on kiss fm, all the play is these annoying electro house pop remixes, from the likes of afrojack or whatever. Its allmost as depressing to listen to as dubstep. No euphoric or happiness within it
That said i'm quite into the more techy side of electro house.

When did it go so bad? Was it just because of the dirty Dutch influence. Or was it because of the effect of perfect exceeder by mason. (Although i actually quite enjoyed that track when it came out)
Or has mainstream electro house always been bad. Becuase of Benny benassi. Satisfaction and 'House Music' have got to be some of my least favourite dance tunes of all time. Although i quite like his new style. Cinema is a very nice track
I just wish there were more artists like mike candy's (Yes i know its 'Mainstream' for a lot of fans on here). I don't know what you call it, but its kind of a more driving style electro. I've heard it being called pumping house, and i've heard it being called miami house. Here are a few examples:

I never really got into the Nu-House movement. During the last declination years of Trance, post 2008 there was that whole House/Electro/Fagstep movement emerging from Deadmau5 in 2009, Tiesto's Kaleidoscope shift, Swedish House Mafia 2010, Skrillex 2010, etc...
I thank God everytime I realize that I got into classic & gateway Trance before all that junk.
We know how you feel; and the dubstep/house movement has gotten extremely popular by the MASSES, (read as SHEEP), who have no taste whatosoever
I'd rather listen to acid house from the late 80s-early 90s.
Yeah,I remember Avicii for some reason got really popular too. Although his "Levels" track sounds directly ripped off of Ferry Corsten's (Moonman) Remx of "Where Are You Now"
so we feel you dude. LONG LIVE TRANCE |

Electro-house is what ruins house music. It is an abomination. It is a plague just like that nu-tech-house/nu-minimal bull. But because it's "different" people will like it.
People at rave party are drunk and on drugs so they'll like whatever is played. But no one takes a piss on this ty genre...No... |

| Never been a fan myself its one of the most disgusting and annoying styles to have ever been created. Unfortunately most of the big trance stars are jumping on this bandwagon. |

| I hate most of it , love some of it. Any particular artists you had in mind ? I think every genre especially the ones that are in vogue have a lot of cashing in. But i think there are some brilliant produced tracks that have pushed the envelope in terms of dance music. Although i would say it rather stagnant in the last year. But there are a few incredible producers still doing great work. |

Remember seeing Sven Vath around 2001 playing some amazing electro-tech.
Fast forward 5 years later and this starts coming out. test form of music out there |

what names where you thinking ? Just to get an idea.
Like when Justice first came out, i thought that was refreshing and sort of ended a dry spell in the scene for me at least. There are have lots of others. I will admit that there is so mucj stuff labelled electro house that i just really don't like. And then the complextro thing, It was quite cool when it was done first, but people just get carried away and well right now, it is beyond ridiculous.
Even skrillex, when he first came out, there was something there. But that was it. It just stayed the same. And then everyone started doing it as well. I mean as a producer, when i first hear some of his music, well when i hear something and wonder , how the did he do that, i love those moments because you get inspired.
Some with justice. That nazareth tune, I remember at the time, hearing that distortion wondering what the they were using.
I think there is alot of people cashing in which tends to make the ratio higher. But there are some really great tracks. |

| Electro house in its prime was nearly impeccable. Other than a few cash-grabbing joints, it really spawned a lot of great floorfillers. Electro house is in the upper echelon of great genres. |

| Dirty house has gone to the background (in the Netherlands), standard electro house a la Wolfgang Gartner is the thing now. |

Wolfgang Gartner is a respectable DJ. He tore it up when I saw him at Global Dance Festival...But the run-of-the-mill electro DJ does not really provide for the goosebump factor. I prefer melody to bass in almost all circumstances. I definitely enjoy some electro, especially on big venue speakers. But electro ages poorly for me...just like dubstep ages poorly
But the younger generations seem to be more fond of it with every passing year. Why? Because they want to dance more than they want those mellow moments of melody and atmosphere. |

| the ironic thing is that his recent stuff and most of the people making "electro house" are making some new form of Euro dance. Just listen to his more recent track Redline. |
