Airwave, not the song, the Artist! What do you think about him? (pg. 2)

Surely you're not suggesting his new tracks are "McProg"?

Reset and Cathedrals of Hope do sound a bit commercial (that is not a bad thing; in fact, that is exactly how commercial music should sound, imo)
Chiricahua and the John 00 Fleming collabs have a different sound to them, though.
SYSTEM-J
That doesn't make them "McProg". McProg means that twinkly side-chained Coldharbour/Andy Moor sound from 2004ish. Reset and Cathedrals Of Hope do sound like classic trance anthems from '99, but not McProg.

Cathedrals Of Hope a bit commercial? what planet are you on? great track btw
fredjan
Maybe commercial is the wrong word to use in this setting.
Cathedrals of Hope and Reset are pretty accessible, though.
That doesn't mean the tracks are bad. In fact, they are excellent, as they are accessible without conforming to commercial standards (they are above, way above commercial music)

'Last Flight To Gaia' and 'Another Dimension' are two of my favourites.

But what does the MC stand for?

I like this track where he sings in it. He can sing a million times better than Chris Jones

think mcdonalds

it's funny you post one of his worst ever productions, lol

his recent work has been surprisingly good
fredjan
Cheaply produced tracks marketed specifically for the masses (like they said, think McDonald's). Airwave produces tracks that the masses can enjoy, but they aren't marketed as such or cheaply produced.
Woony
Uhmm wasn't MCprog called that because of Markus Schulz?

LOL fair enough. Btw do you guys like his trilogique album?

I thought it was ok. Nothing more.
Not even half as good as this one: http://www.discogs.com/Airwave-I-Wa...ve/master/84150
