Why is he playing the main room and not Kool Haus? Does Guv not think he can bring the masses or something? |
I've heard in the past that Armin actually requests to play the main room himself |

Doesn't surprise me. The visuals/lighting is far superior to KH. |

That's not his fault for it being too packed. It's guv's for letting too many people in. |

I dunno how many Armin sets you've listened to lately but he's not total junk, esp when he plays an extended set.
|
Agreed. I told myself I would go if he was playing more than 5 hours. Once in a while he likes doing classics sets too just like he did at asot550! :D
I predict this will be MUCH WORSE than asot450!! it will be disgusting in there |

Was awesome getting this on the way out of day 1 at LoL but a) Guv will be insanely packed and b) same night as the Gatecrasher party, feel sorry for those guys but c) I'll still be at Armin. |
Gatecrasher was moved to November 9th.
Armin + Jochen Miller are confirmed for October 6, and it seems that Above & Beyond + Wolfgang Gartner so far are confirmed for GUV 16th on October 7th |

How'd you hear about A&B and Wolfgang possibly playing the next day? |

| Wolfgang posted the tour poster on facebook. Above & Beyond's agent confirmed it on their website |

But Guy J@Toika wins for me for this date. |
For all the extended sets I have heard, almost nobody can play properly for more than 3-4 hours.
Last time I saw armin was in 2008 or so, and I walked out after 30 minutes. Just so many bad vocals.
His last set I enjoyed was 2006 for labour of love in the KH, and that was good. Ferry followed, and played well too.
But for the most part, he completely lost me with the vocals. |

Well if you go, you're gonna be in for a surprise. He starts all of his sets now with that terrible electro-house-trance sound and builds from there. Probably will play a solid hour of that bull then move into vocals and depending how long the set actually is, he'll end it off with maybe a half hour to an hour tops of proper trance (uplifting, melodic type). If you thought 2008 was bad, better not go in 2012 lol :p
Sorry for the mini rant..I seen him in Ibiza this year at Privilege and walked out of there saying to myself I'd never pay to see him again..it was that bad. |
