REVIEW: Armin van Buuren @Guv Spin Sat Special Event, Oct 6.

UPDATE (Oct 10, 2012): I see now that people are using this thread for reviews of the night so I have changed the title to reflect.
Just was given this flyer pictured below after Day One of LoL on our way out of the Guv. Armin and Mark Olver with no mention of anyone else. Also, October 6 is the day before the Sunday when the Guv usually has their Anniversary Party (Thanksgiving Sunday).
I am personally hoping this means we will be getting graced with an extended Armin set akin to Labor of Love 2008 when he played an almost 9 hour set. Fingers crossed.
Didn't put this onto the events thread because the folks at the Guv are always really good about getting their events up there quickly. As well, gotta wonder what this will mean for the Anniversary Party in terms of who is going to be spinning. I guess it also means they are sort of turning the Thanksgiving Long Weekend into a sort of 2 day thing just like Labour Day is, August Long Weekend was, and Canada Day was.

It says it's a spin Saturdays event! So, I highly doubt it's gotta do anything with Guv's anniversary. I would think it'll be harder to sell 2 day tix for the same event after the summer. Makes more sense to host a separate event on Saturday and then Guv's anniversary on Sunday! Maybe a better line-up for that! Imagine if they got Danny Tenaglia this year. I remember they got him in for their 2009 anniversary party. |

| Was awesome getting this on the way out of day 1 at LoL but a) Guv will be insanely packed and b) same night as the Gatecrasher party, feel sorry for those guys but c) I'll still be at Armin. |

I am strangely tempted to go to this. It's kinda like going to a sado-masochism session for me... :whip: :disbelief
But I may just be a tiny bit of optimist and hope that Armin will actually play a good trance set for once. |
