Went for Kalkbrenner and left right after. Can't really complain for $35. Would have liked the set to be longer, but with the amount of acts on the bill it is what it is. |
With 30 min intervals of silence they could have easily made the main room sets/PAs an hour longer... |

Wow that suuuuucks.
Talk about a buzz kill!
I'm sure there was a good reason for it though. Based on the line-up in the main room, I imagine that each of the acts had drastically different stage set-ups. |

hey guys yes the transittions sucked in the main room.
but we had no way around that as azari and die Antwoord
both had complex setups that needed time to roll in and set up.
for seth...well his mixer didnt work so that also cause a delay.
personally like die Antwoord and Pual the most.
Paul sound is so crips its ridiculous.
anyways hope everyone made the best of it |

| Since I was only there from the beginning of Kalkbrenner and left right after, I really have no complaints. Respect to everyone involved in putting this on, it was great to see him in a big room here. Sure the sound could have been better and their were other problems, but for a random thursday night, I left quite satisfied. |

| I wasn't there (unfortunately), but surely they could have at least had a short DJ set in the intervals between Azari's and Die Antwoord's sets, or even just broadcast the side room's music over the main room speakers instead of having 30 minutes of silence? |

Good idea! It's unfortunate that Die Antwood's performance was bleeding through to the side room too.. couldn't hear much. |

I really loved Paul Kalkbrenner and Die Antwoord, the two acts I was really going for.
Seeing Die Antwoord in person was bloody trip. They're so interesting and fascinating to watch!
Loved Kalkbrenner's tunes.
I wasnt feeling anyone else on the bill though. But Paul and Antwoord made the entire night worthwhile, including the DRIVE HOME FROM HELL... snow flurries kicked in around Barrie and made the ride home scary as .
Couldnt see 10 feet in front of my car and had to drive like 40 the whole second half of drive home... not fun at all. :S |

Got there just in time for Die Antword, tons of fun! But that room was rammed! I wanted to punch some kids just pushing and shoving, finally got a small spot up front and was able to enjoy the show.
Everyone else, I was really disappointed. Lack of sound in some rooms, sound bleeding between the both rooms, sound not full enough to feel.
Seth's set was fun, shoulda went to that afterparty he was telling everyone. Went to the hotel first, never ended up leaving.
In the end, it was a night out with friends and music, so I had fun. But like said previously, probably wouldn't go back to Sound Academy again for DJs. It's decent for a concert, but wasn't feeling the rest.
I was disappointed by Tiga and Azari III to be honest.
Didn't run into as many people as I expected, only Stilez the main room during Die Antword. |

| Was debating this hard. Should I take the risk the morning after hangover at work or not? judging by the reviews very glad I didn't go. Seemed like a play/orchestra rather than a party. Hope u all had fun. |
