| well if you don't want to go the suppliment route it is a bit hard but i would suggest as much as you can cutting out any complex carbs and starches (pasta, potatoes, breads etc). Eat small ammounts regularly, like 5 meals a day but the normal food you would eat at 3 just divided up and that way you will keep your body with lots of fuel. Also limit carb intake as much as possible. When i do a full training schedule for whatever i go down to 50carbs a day which is impossible pretty much without suppliments. Just limit the carbs up the protein and drink lots of water. Good luck |

This is pretty good advice. If you're going to work out every day, you want to add a lot of fat and protein to your diet in place of carbs. |

| I agree on the protein but can you guys explain me why should he limit his carbs as much as possible if he's working out hard and trying to gain weight? I thought the carbs give you the energy to work out and not to feel fatigued all the time... I don't think there's nothing wrong with a moderate carb intake when bulking. Hasn't harmed me. |

Fats are a much better source of energy than carbs because carbs cause an insulin spike shortly after digestion, which will make you hungry for carbs again sooner.
If you limit carbs, though, you might want to have a carb-loading day once a week or so to normalize your metabolism. |

| High protein & low carb diet is the normal routine, but everyone is different. It depends on your chemical and physical make up. Are you naturally skinny? If yes, I would eat like a bastard, because chances are you're gonna gain muscle before fat, if you do alot of weight training, along with some cardio. Either way, you should avoid junk, like fast food and desert foods high in sugar. The main thing is to work out regularly and keep positive, and the results will come. |

Thanx for the advice guys, definately gonna help. Can u guys give me some examples of what foods to eat/abstain (eg. boiled chicken) ???
BTW I know I am very skinny, I have a high Metabolism as I played soccer from 8 till about 17, and training for that sport is a full body work out.
And true When I used to train before, I do gain muscle before fat. On the supplement side, any recommendations ?? I used to use creatine, but I felt it never really helped me much as I was training with some sick bastards that use to reduce me to tears !!! :whip:
Thanx guys |

| I know genetics plays a big role with this.:D If along your line of genes, you have a really easy going metabolism, then you will be lucky...not much effort needs to go into your diet. Just like someone said here, a low-fat, low carb diet and cardio/weights will do the trick....and men-KEEP THE PROTEIN UP to make your muscles happy. You will be rewarded! It's muscle mass you want not fat or water gain. |
