I will find the Washington post article later for support because I'm on my phone but 61% of those 47% do pay taxes, just not federal... something over 15%, which is more than Romney paid (13.9) on the taxes that he did show. So he's saying nearly half of Americans don't pay taxes when in fact most of them do, and they a higher percentage than he does.
Also he won't even show his tax returns before last year.. why? Probably because he had to pay little to no income tax and doesn't want to show himself to be the gigantic hypocrite he is.
These people are too poor to pay taxes and he's ting on them. He wants to give tax cuts to billionaires and not even help the lower class. As president you're supposed to lead the country and instead he's writing off half the population. him. |

Well I was talking about the freeloader part. I mean, in the strictest sense, anyone receiving some sort of welfare is a freeloader in my opinion. And hey, I'll probably be one of them some day when and if I collect social security or (hopefully this never happens) get laid off and have to collect unemployment. As far as people who simply don't pay taxes, I can't comment. I don't know the facts surrounding that.
Anyhoo... yeah, I don't support Romney, or any politician for that matter. :) |

i dont really talk politics, nor do i care
imo the majority of them are crooks no matter who you vote for
but i do kinda agree with mitt on him saying americans are freeloaders (not 47% of them) but there are ALOT of people out there who continue to just milk the system every chance they get and have no desire to do anything else. it makes me sick to my stomach
as for the rest of mitt, a co-worker told me that mitt is all for privatizing alot of public workers

I'm not looking to fight with you. You posted something for all to see and I'm just saying that it didn't make sense. I know you said you don't care about politics but you are in here talking about it so thought I'd discuss the issue with you since I'm here too.
