Just finishing off the last act of diablo. Then onto borderlands. Then I’ll be back for torchlight :)

The click is strong with this one.

I will definitely get Borderlands 2, but my inner Jew is screaming that $60 for a new release is madness. I got the GOTY edition of BL1 over a year ago for like $9.99 on the Steam summer sale. My backlog of games is far too vast to warrant a full price new release, so I'll just swim around in my vault of gold coins for a while longer.

Hahaha inner jew. Its not quite that expensive for those of us with a real currency, but yeah, more than I’ve spent in a while (got diablo via gift voucher, winning).

I got it free via subscribing to WoW. IT'S A REALLY GOOD GAME, OK, FACE?

Pretty meh, but decent if you're into the mediocre hack n slash. Its a very plain game, but it does it well.

I loved Diablo 3, but this absolutely crushes it in every subtle way.

Dont know about that, but im not so crazy about blizzard these days thats for sure. Its like you want to play some decent older game with new interchangeable content, this is it. Guess im not a fan of these types of games as much as I loved diablo 2. The meta internet experience was key though.

Maybe i've just grown old for this type of formula, or there is no room to innovate much, or they simply dont want to.

Torchlight one had many problems imo, but they've gone a long way since then, I'll definitely give torchlight 3 a good try because by then, I think they'll have something greater(judging by this leap). Hopefully they'll do some new things to hook me. I dont want this feeling of this game I've played over again a few times.

Has anyone been able to get this running on linux?

I get what you're saying, now. I've been looking forward to this for a long time though, so the hype has yet to wear off. :p

And you're totally right, it is extremely simplistic, and plays almost exactly like the ARPGS of the late 90s- I'm thrilled by this still (somehow!), and just like the basic setup and graphics of this rendition. Also, I love Runic and what they do, and I think that the early D3 production team working on this really highlights the actual D3's downfalls. In about a month or so, they're going to release the TL2 editor so that the community can mod the game to its heart's desire. I'm hoping this changes the game as much as the Steam community did Skyrim, but we'll see.
