Sound quality is not bad, as all modern gearbis pretty close, but i find the DJM to have tighter bass, more detail in th mids and less flattened sound.
It's not shockingly big differences, but putting next to eachother one would be able to seperate in blind tests knowing what to listen for. The aero is closer to the S4 soundwise. Would not call the DJM most neutral, it just sounds more rich/less flat |

| Bought a Z2, best mixer I have ever used, better then A&H, pioneer (nexus), vestax, you name it. My transitions were never so better. I'm so happy. I'm going to sell the vestax PMC-05 Pro 4 mixer in ebay. |

Are you asking if DJs use the audio interface of the controller of the onboard laptop soundcard? Then yes. I'd think in most cases, they do. |

| The Z2 is totally integrated with traktor, even the EQ is done on the computer for example if you move the low EQ on the Z2 the lows on the traktor screen get lowered. The channel faders and FX are integrated also. No need for extra cables to record. The quality is amazing, lower signal path. |

i would of assumed the drivers and overall perfomance just kinda ty. I would of assumed an interface with at least 2 stereo outs going to some mixing source that can also input a safe guard like say your emergency track on a cdj if hits the fan. |

| This mixer is getting a lot of positive reviews on the Serato boards. Several even making the complete switch. |

if you run a all-in-one controller, I would think, more often than not, It's connected through a channel on the dj-mixer. Usually on a channel reserved for a CDJ. And in more complicated setups you always figure out a fail safe.
Anyways, the quality and performance on the NI integrated cards are pretty good. Same components as they use on their dedicated dj interfaces, and it works pretty flawlessly, unless you're being too optimistic with the latency settings. |

the DJM IS the soundcard
or your CDJ's are the soundcard, (streaming traktor through the CDJ's)
all connect with USB to laptop, Pioneer ASIO drivers are very good and stable
on top of that full HID support
no need to use external or laptop soundcard at all |
