I'll do a commercially viable dubstep track for a wal-mart gift card or something
actually i'm in no place to do anything production-wise right now I can't set up my monitors here and I really want to get the cableguys stuff before I do anything again.. don't even have a controller just the laptop :/ |

| Well i have a midi keyboard and a controller and most of my tunes.were done with a crap laptop (like the sample submited) its not advisable but its possible , this.is what happens when you.travel a lot, you get used to the simplest setups.and refuse.any improvement |

I used to produce a couple of commercial tracks in the past, some where released, some not. They have been released under my alias "Ya Funk" - here an unreleased commercial track under this alias:

don't you think the term unreleased commercial track sort of funny ?
commercial is not a genre. |

It has become, i have seen many times flyers of clubs like this:
Room 1:
Dj XXXX - Commercial, Hip Hop
Room 2:
Dj YYYYY - Fartstep
Room 3:
Dj ZZZZ - Techno |

also, i find the title very distasteful. Tone down the homophobia. |
I second this. It's not clear from your contest outline whether the tracks are intended to be played exclusively at gay nightclubs/ events - if that isn't the intention, could you clarify what you mean by your title? |

Homo erotic tracks only please. You can include sampled poodle barks, Queen slammin and what not, I'm cool with anything, even some shrieks by way of anal pounding, choir Boy interference, whatever.
But seriously, I'm inviting tracks that you would deem to have potential wide commerical appeal. It's up to you how you interpret this. |

Ok that's the first one in. Do we think we should be making a judgment as each track comes in, or what? |

if it's a gay contest then you have to produce hard trance, on a side note i've to say that some of my best clubbing nights were at gay clubs, they have a taste for music. I believe that being the black hole of the society makes you less fashion victim and you are less tightened to trends.
Curious to say that gay is sting being used as an insult :P |

I read a news article about this the other week, where people recorded the number of times certain words were used in tweets (such as gay, fag etc...)
I'm amazed that people are unaware they're offending many of their readers (no matter the reader's sexual orientation). I'd hope most of the tweets are by teenagers who are yet to grow out of that phase.
There are plenty of other crude/ belittling terms out there which will get exactly the same point across without being offensive. |
