Anyways here's my entry, a lame attempt at a commercial sound.
'Upstairs @ Jans' is the title. This track can be heard comming out his old gothic sky scraper loft appartment.
Couple of rising / climaxing sections to tweak.

I doesnt strike me as particularly commercial but very nice song Jess.

I wasn't sure. I guess listening to it now it doesn't seem like it. What would make it commercial?

I second the motion to declare this not-a-contest. No rules, no standards, no judges, no prizes, not even a deadline. It's just... not a contest, not even sort of a contest.
Also, none of these tracks have any commercial potential, sorry. Not to say that some of them aren't fairly well-produced or creative, but do any of you guys even listen to top 40 or go to mainstream clubs? Call me old-fashioned, but I think "commercial" means "pop", or at least "resembling pop" or "some pop elements". But no, I don't hear any vocals or recorded instruments or realistic samples, no familiar I-[iii/vi]-IV-V or [vi]-ii-V-I progressions, no verse/chorus/bridge form, not even a typical 120 bpm tempo as far as I can tell. Hell, half of these even have several minutes of drum intros/outros! Newsflash, commercial music gets released on albums which don't have 4 minutes of mindless repetitive droning per track for barely-competent DJs to mix in and out of.
No, none of these sound like pop music, or even pop-electronic crossovers, basically I'm just hearing cheesier, lazier trance than usual, sorry guys. Stick to what you're good at?

I'll donate all my lame Sylenth banks to whoever wins.
Now it's a contest again.
Should you desire to win such an exclusive and coveted treasure.

well we are making an edm contest of commercial music, not a pop contest. I think i can't make a pop record, is simply that if i try it won't be pop :S i think that we all assume that by "gay commercial track" it's referring to "beatport top 100 viable"

IMO, you can't make a contest to make the best "commercial" music when you already have a negative view on commercialized music. Also, the only measure of a winning track in this contest should be really whoever has the most commercially successful release in this forum.

No big deal, as I said in my OP. I'm no good at these competitions.
