if there is any DJ that will keep ruby skye open until at least 4, it's markus. stop stirring up and trolling. |
its not the dj's call 8/18 the guy playing after Adrian lux wanted to keep going, but 230 it was time to go home....that's the truth.
you wouldnt know about the fact that it is inconsistently closed BC you don't go there often. I can probably count more times I've attended ruby Skye this year than you have in your life. |

you raise a good point, but I've been there enough times for Markus that i know they always make an exception for him, always plays until at least 4am.
now i'm not expecting them to stay open until 8 am like Avalon, but i think 9-4 is a safe bet. |

I think you are comparing apples to oranges. Markus is Markus and if he wants to play till 4 am, there's a VERY good chance that they will allow him to play, maybe even longer depending on amount of crowd. |

for NYE 2011 markus played until 530 and i believe they stayed open until past 7 AM, but i know it was an exception since it was NYE.
i'm not an sf native or anything, but my guess would be 4:30 AM when the crowd and DJ calls for it. |

They do have a prety stict rule on time, but in this case, it is Markus, Friday night, Spundae event (kinda celebrating a bday for Guiv right?).
However, that being said, modthispny, do not expect anything to start at 9.... I'm guessing 10 or 10:30 would be opening. Maybe later, even if it does say 9.
I will just go ahead and assume that Markus would be really pissed if he only got to play 10-2. |

+1
I'm 99% certain he will spin to 4am at least. If there is a good amount of crowd(which there will be), he will go beyond that. |

| Ruby has stayed open past noon on certain special nights (read: Danny Tenaglia). Don't worry about the time. We'll get a good, long set. I'd rather take a 10-4 set (if he doesn't start at 9....not sure the exact plan yet) than a 12-6 set. Get moar sleep when I get home. :) |

Actually it is the DJs call if the DJ is the headliner on the bill. Perhaps you should work on sticking to actual facts (rather than portraying your personal views as facts), but please I very much encourage any form of trolling whether it is or not. It's nice to see threads about Spundae at the top, regardless of what's being discussed. As they say any publicity is good publicity. I only care about people who think for themselves, not followers of any kind. So say whatever, you can be a bot or a scripted program for all I care.
Trent Cantrelle was the headliner on the 18th not Adrian Lux (He was around, because of Identity) -> here's the flyer
http://www.rubyskye.com/flyers/081812_cantrelle.jpg
The person they stopped was probably a local. It's not very often they ask the advertised headliner to stop playing, if they're the closer. Most of the time the headliner doesn't close out the night (I wish they would more often)
They have been plenty of times DJs played past 4am: Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, John Digweed, Fedde Le Grand, DJ Dan, Ferry Corsten and the list goes on.
I would know I've probably been to Ruby Skye more than anyone on this board. I only work there.
To everyone else.
Markus can play as long as he wants. No one is going to ask him to stop. I'm confident he will continue, as long as the crowd stays and just reminiscing from his previous visits that appears to be the case. Just looking at the reactions everywhere, we may even be going for a record on his nights in SF. |
