K, will purchase my flight + tickets tomorrow unless there is a way to get a guestlist spot ;-)
Btw, never been to SF so I have a few questions about this trip:
How is the weather going to be out there around this weekend?
What is the capacity in this club?
How is the sound system?
What is the dress code like as I hate to wear anything other than jeans and a t-shirt?
What else do any of you suggest to do during the weekend there?
Record stores or any other clubs to visit?

1. Every day the weather varies in SF. It's never consistent. At least have a coat that you leave in the trunk. Some Halloween weekends have been extremely hot, some have had rain pouring down.
2. 900+
3. Preferences aside, it's been nominated as one of the best systems in this country. Me personally I think it's amazing especially when the DJs dial it in properly.
4. Jeans and T-shirt are fine and plenty of people will be in costume anyhow.
5. Saturday night go to Opel's Night of the Living Bass or Ghostship on Treasure Island. Halloween Weekend is madness in SF. There's so much going on. Just look on Facebook, Nitevibe.com and SFstation.com
6. Record Stores: Amoeba and Black Pancakes both on Haight Street. Clubs: Check out Mighty, Publicworks, Mezzanine, Monarch, Vessel, The Endup

Thanks for the information!!! I am looking forward to this weekend on this short notice. Want to purchase some vinyl to add to the collection so will be hitting up the record shops. I have heard of The Endup from a few people that have ventured to SF in the past. Seen it for a few second in the movie Groove lol.

I've never herd of this. No warm up DJ at all? Seems like it will be kind of weird getting in the club early (10:00 pm) and he's already spinning to an empty room.
Anyways I'm in!

Markus knows exactly how to play LONG Extended sets. He knows exactly how to start the night and slowly build the set into peek and then bring it down with some crazy dark beats for the after hours part of his set.. Definitely a must!
I went down to LA in February for his SOLO set and it was definitely a fun time. He played from 9pm - 8 am or so. I can't recall but it was pure madness.

Have you ever seen his marathon sets in Miami. WOW. let me tell you something. YOU MUST GO. I went earlier this year during WMC week and wow. Keep the whole room energized for hours upon hours. I don't think he ended till like 6:30am!
ISOS4
Saw him at avalon in august, and his bday set in feb which he opened and closed onthe terrace. Its sick walking in and knowing its markus open to close. Hopefully he plays til 10-5. Really get to appreciate his djing skill with his extended sets.

well at avalon they opened the doors, and a decent size crowd filled up the room. you could see him and time grube doing last minute setup, he got on the mic, "check, check, you guys are first!!" "now will you be here at 7am? 8am? 10 am? noon?" alright please be patient as i'm going to start it real deep and slowly build it up, then we'll get to the mayhem"..thank you
5 sec later first track begins
=)

This happens all over the world. Solo sets. Armin has done it for Spundae in SF as well, years back!
