And don't even cry victim blaming, I'm well aware that there are factors that affect/limit choice, but again, fat people more than anyone will use that as an excuse to not be accountable. Of course people are free to choose whatever lifestyle they want, it's just that fat people always find a way to minimize their role in it, and the seriousness of being overweight.

And btw we DO live in a society that collectively shuns smokers, addicts, etc. You never hear those people saying "I can't help it, don't pick on me you bully!!!" If fat people didn't have the whole body image issue tied to their cause, it would be just as common to shun them without some crying "Omg bully!"

No, what I'm saying is that fat people always pull the body image card to detract from the fact that yeah, it's a health issue and they have ownership of their health. Fat people more than any other people with health issues shirk responsibility for it and play victim. Most people I've encountered in my career that are sick due to their lifestyle choices typically express some shame and acknowledge/accept how their choices have contributed to their illnesses. But not fat people! Nope, it's always "I can't help that I'm big boned!" "Well I'm not a supermodel!" etc., etc.
I understand that a lot of people with weight problems, or insecurities about their weight, are in denial and unable to acknowledge the truth (95% of the time, they're fat because they eat more calories than they burn), and as someone who's always been very lean I've taken my fair share of abuse from overweight people who think they have carte blanche to insult me about being "too thin" or "totally unhealthy looking" as a way of making themselves feel better about themselves (because thin people must be totally happy with their body image, right?)
However, I suspect overweight people get so defensive and in denial due to the amount of bullying and abuse they get, the kind which is not levelled at any other unhealthy lifestyle decision.

weren't the bullies always the fat kids ? That is how it was at every school i went to. And given the percentage of fatties especially young fatties, they aren't exactly a minority.

It's really damaging to one's health being a glacial, mean cunt. One may die by choking on their own venom.

it's not as easy as calories in calories out because people have different metabolisms
an underactive thyroid (which this lady claims she has) can lead to an extremely slow metabolism. So if she is excercising and eating healthy low calorie quantities, it could still be very difficult for her to lose weight.
I know that gaining weight was always an issue for me, sometimes i would eat over 6000 calories a day, workout & rest properly etc and had very difficult progress.
years later, my metabolism has significantly slowed and im getting a fat bastard belly... funny how things work.
anyways response attached.

is this really bullying ? None of the guys business and he is a dick for sending the email but I think she is taking this a little too far. She should of stopped at the subject line. Just like she should of stopped at the one serving marker. Smack down!!! zing
I can't tell where her end and her stomach begins. Is it weird to be curious about her sex life ? I tried looking up manatee mating videos but I feel it wouldn't be quite the same.
this article actually makes me sick. Not to mention alot of the comments
it's one thing to accept that she has an issue with her weight, another thing to openly condone obeisity when it is clearly, for the most part, a preventable and curable disorder.

Just express your opinions about fat people ....
Smokers do the same "I can't help it" "I'm addicted to it now and i can't stop" "I WILL STOP WHEN IT SUITS ME" and they know they can't

Uh, I don't buy the metabolism excuse either (lol so classic fat person "I have a thyroid problem!") If it's a true metabolic disorder there are meds one can take to correct it. Another bull story when people pull that .
