Hey, I've been kinda digging the minimum-Trance type of sound from the older days.
Tracks such as:
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Solar Stone Atlantis Mix)
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 8 (Dado FM Remix)
TasteXperience - Summersault (Original Mix)
DJ Tiesto - Theme from Norefjell (Magikal Remake) [a bit fluffy, but I still kinda like it)
Morgenroth - E'ela (Original Mix 1996)
Cosmic Baby - Fantasia (Original Mix) or (Celestial Harmonies)
Mat Zo - Lucky Strike
So I was wondering, do you guys know any more songs like these ones? For some reason I like TasteXperience's Summersault, it sounds dreamy and it's like you're falling from the atmosphere. and of course Seven Cities is a classical euphoric song. I also like the simple yet euphoric piano melody of "E'ela" by Morgenroth.
If you guys know any other songs that have these sounds, from any era, please share ^^ I'm always looking for more!

Jean Michel Jarre was a legend. Way ahead of his time.

not what you listed but when i think simple , i think of those tracks that were really stripped down. Mixed on a 16 channel console. 909 drums. 1 reverb. 1 compressor. No samples. This one is sort of what i mean. No crazy layering, no loops , just very simple but effective programming.
the tracks posted above were rather excessive and indulgent in terms of production. Not saying it was good or bad, but simple doesn't come to mind. Lots of layers and a wide sonic palette.

wouldn't use the words trance or simple to describe him. he had more in common with those electro acoustic composers than EDM artists. He worked under Schaeffer, was influenced by Stravinsky's use of bi tonality. Maybe you read the subject line wrong. I do it all the time.

Not really sure what you mean, but if you like cosmic baby you might like mystic force.

you could replicate all that with software. But then you would sound like music that was already done. Kinda pointless.
