Yeah. Berghain can be great but bad sound + way too packed will make any club suck. What amazes me is that even a place with one of the best club systems in the world still has sound issues and DJs going too loud. |

I doubt many pro DJ actually go in the reds intentionally. I think the main issue is that a lot of times the DJ in the booth has no way of knowing on how the sound actually comes out on the floor. That and the fact that most pro DJs likely are half deaf from years of gigging. |

| I never understood the redlining myself. It drives me insane when I see it, especially if the sound in the room is obviously ed. |

| I think everyone will agree if I say that Boiler Room in general sucks donkeyballs. It would be decent if they just had the camera on the decks the whole time so you could actually learn something from watching all these DJs but this way it's just a bunch of hipsters trying to pose in front of the camera. |

Its a decent concept on paper but with a ty zombie crowd its always going to look lame and contrived. That's the fundamental problem that I see with it. |

Yeah but if you have a party that gets filmed and posted on the internet, the DJs play one hour exhibition sets and is often hosted on weeknights you're always going attract that type of crowd. |

You could also argue that it feeds DJ worship culture, but at the same time, I would really like an overhead cam like someone else suggested to see what the DJ is doing.
The levon vincent boiler room was really interesting. Some of the others I've watched are bleh. |

Yes I've always had a love/hate relationship with the scene. It is wildly cliquey and it tends to draw misfits that don't fit in anywhere else (because of the above mentioned headery). That coupled with drug use can create some really ridiculous interactions with people. I've seen some stuff, man. |
