Looks like he's trying out L.A. for a while. In his interviews and stuff he used basic methods to produce, but now it seems like he's got a heap of stuff on his desk. The article says it's a label move.

not sure what a minimal house producer is doing in LA. He setup looks retarded. I think the phantom just looks silly. Way too much clutter for me. Seems he got a few duckets and bought a bunch of stupid .

not weird at all.... tons of deep, minimal and tech house producers in LA right now... almost too trendy

Don't listen, Richie is just a LA hater.

The music industry is LA in North America (with the exception of Nashville for cuntry).

Agreed with A.N. - There are tons of minimal and tech producers in LA right now. The whole hipster legacy is just fuelling it, you can't walk down any part of Abbot Kinney in Venice without hearing some minimal strand of EDM.

I do think the pics (as with most studios) are a bit of window dressing; it all looks a bit thrown together but too clean if you know what I mean.

Studios are either well setup and super clean (like with custom furniture, racks, desks etc) or a hodge podge of everywhere. His is too clean while being thrown together.

Looks more like ", I need to do a photoshoot and chat about my studio so lets get some real kit in there quick as listing my software doesn't register high enough on the chinscratchometer".

I like the guy and think he produces, but I've spent enough years both building and working is studios to know the pics don't add up.

the commercial industry is. This is minimal house. That industry is not in LA, it isn't in USA either. Why live in such a piece of city when you don't have to.

I just don't like the guy, Why is every single edm producer so ing vanilla. Everyone needs to do some drugs or something. Honestly. And being in the dance scene and overweight, i just don't get that. Now he will be overweight and sticky.

i've never been in the u.s but for what i've heard LA,Vegas,Miami,Detroit... have really big scenes i've only heard rants about texas :p on big places there's room for everything. How big is LA? 3 Million inhabitants? With such a population you can have several paralell scenes.

OT: wow what a setup... what i find funny is the "if it doesn't succeed i sell it"

Try 4 million in metropolitan LA, 14 million in the greater LA area.

There's the whole hipster silverlake scene (dubstep, electronica, techno, mnml etc), then the hollywood club scene (trance, commercial dance), Venice (tech/deep house, dubstep, eclectic), WeHo (house, prog, handbag lol)....the douchbag house thing (which is somewhat dying and Vegas is really the stronghold anyway) in a lot of a the really sceney venues

Dance music is really booming here, I can't keep up. Just check out the west coast listing section. you could go out every night of the week to your particular starin of EDM.

, I think Sasha even played a free gig last night at an 800 person venue. Always something happening.
