| For a club was only around for a relatively short amount of time before going bust, Circa sure does seem to still get a decent amount of media attention. |

Well written and researched. I did not go to Circa that many times but I have great memories of the few parties I did attend and the fun I had there.
...iirc it was around circa's opening that bottle service started to really take off as well |

Interesting read. As mentioned in the article, the great thing about Circa was that there was something for everyone there. If you got bored of what was going on in one room, you'd just take a few steps into the next one and it would have a completely different vibe.
I remember having some pretty good nights out there. I even enjoyed the time I saw Axwell play there!
It would have been nice if it was still around for the sake of having more options each weekend. Luckily, new venues are coming up, which I'm pretty excited for. |

| Ballroom was a fun space and got the odd decent booking. The layout was the biggest downfall though imo, so much ender utilized dead space with awkward shaped rooms, for it to feel "rammed" you needed like 3000+ people and that didn't happen very often. |

This article is not very accurate, & seems to be skewed towards the scene the writer is part of.
It seems the writer is ignorant on electronic music, that would make sense since that writer has never been part of the electronic music scene, they are part of the House & techno scene.
I think Circa did influence the current climate of electronic music, it was bottle service DJs & House DJs who have never been part of electronic music being booked as Electronic Djs, the same thing is happening now. |

Carl Cox there was an amazing party!
And the first time I went there, saw Bang Gang DJs in the Ballroom and it was on fire up there, so much energy, then after got a pretty much private show from Jesse Rose to me and my 5 friends as we're the only people up there in the ballroom.
Their Randomland nights were ahead of their time and some epic parties.
First time I saw those LED lights :eyes: |

2010 NYD Steve Lawler was a great party. Victor Calderone thanksgiving 2008/9 was a great party (just placed a new sound system at the time), 3Style Redbull competitions were fun, and many more...
I had a great time each and every time I went. When it was packed, it got even better. Even the one time I went to see Guetta and the coat check was full was a great time. I actually wished that place was still around and kicking. |
