Great DJ/Producer Combinations

| Anyone who stands out as a great DJ and producer. Anyone seminal, recent, old, new or underground, doesn't matter. Just wondering who is a great producer that makes excellent tracks but also knows how to rock a dance floor solid, consistently. Anyone special I should know about? I haven't been to any decent shows in a while so my DJ worldview is a little narrow at the moment. I hear Maceo Plex knows how to throw down at parties, and his productions are obviously very good. |

Maceo Plex is a great example. The dude knows how to throw down indeed.
I'd also be curious to see who people mention. |

I'll throw some names in the pot:
Ricardo Villalobos
Scuba
Theo Parrish
Motor City Drum Ensemble
Levon Vincent
Ame
Steve Bug
Ben Klock
Marcel Dettmann
Moodymann
Justin Martin
Jamie Jones
Ryan Elliott
Steffi
Catz n' Dogz
Maya Jane Coles
....
all people I believe to be capable of greatness both in the booth and in the studio. |

| I agree on Jamie Jones i don't like chill techno but he nailed it when i saw him. I'd add Gaiser, W&W , Uto Karem, Umek... Eddie Halliwell maybe now that he is producing (something) but i don't see he has any future producing and it's a lose of time he made the hard thing... being on top without touching a daw. |

| That Jamie Jones album was such utter piss. I really enjoyed his sets in Miami a few years ago though. |
