Usually havent strayed from the vengeance series, but exporting in 24bit now and want to upgrade drum samples. Vengeance doesnt seem to have 24bit samples on the reFX site that I could see.
Anyone know of good 24bit sample packs similar to:
Minimal House Vol.2
Dirty Electro Vol.2
Future House Vol.4
demos avail on this page: http://refx.com/products/vengeance/samples/ |

The stuff from Thomas Penton is pretty ace. The xfer stuff from deadmau5 & steve duda isn't horrible, by any means.
For kicks you have to do a search for "mhah kick" in this sub-forum. they're free, and they're pretty, pretty good. Preeetty, preeeeeeeeeeetty good. Pretty good. |

Thanks, Mario. My kicks are free indeed. Just keep in mind that kick pack 3 has little too much mid click in some kicks. Use EQ to solve this little problem ;)
Here is my kicks and the download link is always in my first comment! :)

It was my very very first pack. The time when I was learning and studying things, so they are not so good, i guess. But if you want to test them out, download it here.

| Awesome. These sound mad punchy. Do you do any other drum sampling besides the kicks? Just downloaded some to test out. |

any thoughts on some good funky progressive/tech/minimal/electro type loops similar to the way vengeance does his included with the sample packs of individual one shot percussive effects e.g. snare/clap/hat/etc.
I end up doing most drum work with one shots but I do like to throw in the occasional rhythmic loop from someone who has a real knack for percussive lines. Especially latin/bachata type ones or something gabriel&dresden-y. Vengeance does em pretty well usually, but theyre only avail in 16bit still grrr.. |

why don't you buy a drumkit and make your own samples |

| thats an intense way to solve the problem hahaha. Tbh, that doesnt really appeal to me. Making proper drum samples is its own niche in the industry. I'd rather just pay someone a reasonable amount of money for the proper thing and be done with it, so I can focus on the part of music production that gives me the greatest joy, meriter. |
