I have a degree. i'm not sure what you consider real money. all together i make about $70K a year. what do you mean by floundering? you being from china, it could mean some kinda dish...lol... i do marketing consulting specializing in SEO, website rebuilding and overall marketing strategies on improving your business.
i do buy some of my stuff in china but that's not the main product that i sell... if your mom's name is loreta, then thank her for the fast shipment...lol |

i'm from a real country and moved to china because my value is strong here. search optimization is a key word for poor and living at mums. the real guys pay for placement. it's why the yellow pages still exist even though no one uses the phone book anymore. i don't know what i am talking about though, and will make a thread about how i hate my job because i obviously have a lot of money and am successful. did i stutter?
how are you going to improve anyone's business when you are clearly not happy with your own. a proper consultant is a real job, not a make some money because my brain is not providing for me even if i am unhappy one. |

whoaaa... slow your roll...i never said i have a lot of money.. i'm trying to get there though... so i don't understand your hating..
the way i improve my clients' business is not only through SEO but various ways based on research. and since i just started doing it about a year ago, I was concentrating on local businesses before establishing my reputation and accumulating experience to move on to bigger things... if you don't like the thread, please ignore it then.. i was just curious how other people handle their situations in the corporate environment...and no, you didn't stutter... just rambling nonsense.

Sure, so long as you keep your personal life out of the corporate work place
and always a bonus if they allow you to daytrade :D |
I can't sleep, i'm trying to find that darn thread for investors. You make an important point, your personal life must be kept out of the office.
Trading for your own account in the office can be dangerous too. At the small fund i work for, everyone in the trading floor must have a license in order to be there. Yes, you could trade for your own account but you might have other responsibilities and/or bounded by regulations. It's a very fine line to walk on.
I'm uncertain as to where I'm actually headed in this business though, but I know that there's alot of uncertainties on the managerial side of things. For example, I hear some employees are not getting paid on time and what not. If I get the boot then I'd be prepared to trade for my own account while i seek other cash-flow alternatives
And that's all there is to it, the expense of buying suits, ties, and maintaining all these things turns out to be a burner for me. I could do everything wearing a t-shirt and jeans at home. If I need a view, I save money for a nicer apt with a view of the ocean. |
