one thing i like to do is just call when i read the text, which may or may not be when i got the text as i leave my phone in another room while im working to avoid distractions

skips all the bull, if they no pick up and they no call back, business as usual they weren't worth it

I don't have that problem, as they want the passport more than anything here. The problem is getting them to leave you alone. I've learned that having 2 sim cards is the best way.

anyone else notice this?
I don't wait on purpose but you can def tell they do. its almost to the second. If I didnt respond for an hour they will for sure take 2 hrs to respond to my response.

Edit: I'd also like to add that the whole text message thing sucks ass. I miss the days when you would just call someone up.

Mostly true. It's usually a game of extremes. I'll take an hour to respond, then she'll wait her two hours, but by the time I check my phone it's like, 6 paragraphs of messages waiting for me.

"Omg, the grass is green, let me tell you all about my day and how I came across this beautiful green grass... blah blah blah" "So now I'm looking at the sky and it is blue, except for these three clouds and they are shaped like... blah blah blah." ... And so on. Although I prefer girls like this than the ones that think they're actually playing me for an idiot... Wait their two hours and respond with "Lol!" or some other such useless response. Now, I'm no player like you, but I did the math, and 9 out of 10 girls that play that game with me wait infinity longer for my next text, because I quickly delete their number and wait til I meet someone new.

But I kinda disagree with you man, everyone has their own style, but I always hated the phone. The beauty of the text-generation is how you can feel like you've interacted with someone for an entire day and only actually exchanged a few thoughts. I'd rather have a 30-second conversation last all day in 1-minute increments than waste an entire hour on the phone. I hope I'm not the only one, but most actual conversation I would prefer to have face-to-face.

I would agree that the in-between era where we still had to type on a num-pad was really annoying, I didn't even like texting, which presented a few problems when I don't like phone calls either... But with Smartphones offering an easy-to-use keyboard, texting feels more like MSN or other such messaging programs, which was always my most successful tool for conversing and setting up dates with the girls I met. The benefit of the smartphone messaging is that you're no longer stuck in front of a computer screen while you interact with whoever you're chatting with. You can intermittently check your phone throughout the day and respond to or initiate conversation as you like.

Smart phones are actually a huge step back in terms of social interaction. It is why so many people lack basic people skills and are completely socially awkward. Auto fill has created a generation of barely literate technology monkeys. The machine controls them, not the other way around.

So true. But it's the norm for kids now. I LOL at that, too. Disgraceful, IMO.

Right? Working in sales has made me a lot more comfortable in terms of calling people. I just do it now, makes life easier.

I'll Make Love To You lyrics

Close your eyes make a wish and
Blow out the candlelight for
Tonight is just your night we're
Gonna celebrate all through the
Night pour the wine light the
Fire girl your wish is my command
I submit to your demands I'll do
Anything girl you need only ask

I'll make love to you like you
Want me to and I'll hold you tight
Baby all through the night I'll
Make love to you when you want me
To and I will not let go till you
Tell me to

Girl relax let's go slow I ain't
Got nowhere to go I'm just gonna
Concentrate on you girl are you
Ready it's gonna be a long night
Throw your clothes on the floor
I'm gonna take my clothes off too

I don't own a so called smart phone. Think they are . Still on my push button nokia and waiting for google glasses. Like hats and headphones...the early adopters will look like twats, but after that everyone will be in on it.

In a general sense, I actually agree with you. I'm sure we've all been in a group, or at least witnessed a group of friends out in public, and noticed that EVERY single person in the group is glued to their phone, almost completely ignoring each other except to show the person next to them some stupid picture or game they've just discovered on their phone.

There are exceptions to the rule though. When I upgraded from a flip phone to my iPhone in February, the amount of time I spent at home doing "my own thing" decreased dramatically, almost immediately. I was simply more comfortable with my iPhone as a communication device than I was with my flip, and as mentioned in my last post, there's an improvement from the transition from computer-based chat to smartphone-based. Since I was suddenly communicating with others more, I was also setting up more and more hangouts and spending more and more face-to-face time with people I know. For me, it's been a boon to my social life, not a step back.
